Daniel Uivary
My love for old stoves started before I knew it. Growing up, history was one of my favorite subjects and my first job as a machinist developed my love for iron and steel. What better of a hobby to have. Looking for and then finding an old stove, studying its past history of when it was made and where it was used is fascinating to me.
My Dickson cook stove was in the same home for close to a hundred years and the Queen Bengal was used in a farm house. Only if they could tell me the past. My wife and I intend to give them a good home putting them back to use in the mountain home were building.
The Hotpoint will be our summer stove being used in July and August when it is too hot to keep the big cook stoves going. Sure it would be easier to collect stamps or coins but the warmth and feeling of a stove can not be compared.
