The auction end of the Antique Stove Trader is now up and running with the classified ads section coming sometime in the future. As I have mentioned to some of you over the past few months, I was unable to totally integrate the Stove Trader with My Antique Stove. So unfortunately the sites require 2 separate registrations & logins, you may use your myantiquestove.com username and password on the Stove Trader, but you will still need to register that name with the Stove Trader, and it will still require you to login separately from My Antique Stove.

You may begin buying and selling on the Antique Stove Trader site immediately.

You can contact me if you have any questions on the use of this website but here are a few things to keep in mind when listing your stove items for sale. It is FREE, meaning there are no listing fees, commissions or end-of-auction value based fees. There are extra add-on features for your auctions, such as "Featured Gallery Home Page", "Attention Grabber Icons", ect. which you can purchase at a very reasonable price to help your listings stand out from the crowd. I currently have all of these bonus features set to FREE as well and will keep them that way for as long as I'm able. As the site grows, and the server space & monthly bill required to host it grows, I will begin to charge for these special feature add-ons, but the site will always remain a free listing venue for you to buy and sell stove related goods.

I have added many categories for you to list your items under. If you do not see a category that matches an item you are listing, or if you have any suggestions for the categories section, please contact me and I will make the appropriate additions/changes.

The auction start to end time is currently set at 3 months, so you are able to list an item from 1 to 90 days. You will probably not want to run a true auction listing for more than 14 days, anything over 14 days should be listed using the "buy it now" option. If you would like to list your item at a set "buy it now" price, you should enter your selling price in the "buy it now" section of the listing page. Since the site is in auction format and not a store, you will also need to enter a starting bid price, but you can just set the starting bid price at the same amount as your "buy it now" price. EXAMPLE: say you wanted to sell a stove for $450, you would enter $450 in the "buy it now" section of the listing page and enter $450 as the opening bid price. This will leave a prospective buyer no choice but to use the "buy it now" option. If you are also willing to accept offers on your item, be sure to mention this in your item description. There is a "contact seller" link on every item description page, so a buyer will be able to contact you to make his or her best offer on your item.

When an item sells, both the seller and buyer will receive an email with each others contact information. It is up to the buyer and seller to contact each other and arrange for payment, shipping, pick-up, ect. The contact information will contain the buyers email address if would like to send them an invoice through Paypal, Bid-Pay or any other online payment service that you may subscribe to. There is no Antique Stove Trader "Checkout", the payment or completion of sale is on the buyer and seller.
